Located on the outskirts of Tasmania's largest town, Ulverstone, is Goat Island. Accessible by foot at low tide it offers fascinating Geology. This view is capturing the last soft rays of light at sunset as I was driving towards Ulverstone from the popular tourist town of Penguin. Painted wet in wet using watercolour it was important to use minimal brushstrokes to maintain freshness in order to capture the atmosphere of this pristine environment.
