Superb Blue wren, fairy wren, blue wren.... these delightful little birds are common in Tasmanian bushland and home gardens. Typical of birds the males have the distinctive bright blue plumage , more pronounced in mating season. I spend several months on the details of the bird then set them is a loose watercolour background.
