Bakers Beach sand dunes have been the focus for the past two weeks at my Wednesday evening watercolour class. The tree roots clutching at the top of the banks and the twiggy branches of the paperbark are a delightful tangle contrasting with the light colour of the sand and its subtle shadowing. The rather stormy sky adds a bit of drama.
A lovely subject for watercolour but equally I expect
for textural methods with acrylics…. maybe I will try that next (after my commission works…. a number in progress)
