These are my two entries for this exhibition which opens in Launceston on Friday 3rd September at 7p.m. (finishes Sunday 4pm) I hope to be at the opening.
The larger acrylic (left) links geology and art as I enjoyed playing with texture media to suggest the patterns of weathered rock of the Tesselated Pavement at Eaglehawk.
The smaller watercolour (right) is of the West Coast (Bluff Point), a scene I have painted before as I love recreating the feeling of walking through the carved track in the dunes with the dramatic lighting during a break in the weather on a trip to the Tarkine Coast about three years ago.
