I became hooked on working with glass through fellow artist and teacher Anne Dunham. I started with dichroic jewellery but have also developed combining slumped glass with acrylic enamel marbling and silk painting miniatures. But I am a painter so most recently I have been painting watercolour images on the glass before firing and sumi e inspirations on recycled glass (mostly old wine bottles). As my kiln is small I am limited to jewellery and small plates. Glass sculpture with Sumi E figures. Title “I will listen”. Selected for Material Girl exhibition 2012… theme “Talk to me”. Tin float glass and special paint all kiln fired. Base driftwood piece from Forth River bank at Turners Beach, Tasmania.
